Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Aerial Anarchy! By booking a class, course, workshop, private lesson or event with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully – they’re here to keep you safe, supported, and swinging happily through the air.
1. General
-
Aerial Anarchy is a pole and aerial arts studio providing fitness, dance, and performance classes.
-
Participation is at your own risk. By attending, you confirm you are fit and able to take part in physical activity.
-
We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The current version will always be available on our website.
2. Health & Safety
-
You must inform your instructor before class of any injuries, medical conditions, or other factors that may affect your ability to participate.
-
You must follow instructor directions at all times and use equipment only as instructed.
-
Grip aids, mats, and other safety gear should be used as advised.
-
Aerial Anarchy is not liable for injuries sustained from ignoring safety instructions, attempting moves unsupervised, or training outside your ability level.
3. Bookings & Payments
-
All classes, courses, and events must be booked in advance through our booking system.
-
Courses run for the full term. Once enrolled, you are committed for the duration of the term. Courses can only be cancelled or changed at the end of the term and are not eligible for mid-term cancellation.
-
Payments are non-refundable.
-
Cancellations must be made within the specified timeframe on our booking system. Late cancellations or no-shows may forfeit the class credit.
-
Memberships, passes, and credits are non-transferable.
4. Studio Etiquette
At Aerial Anarchy, we train hard, have fun, and look after each other. Please respect the rules below so everyone can enjoy a safe and supportive space.
Respect the Space
-
Fees must be up to date before attending class.
-
Follow all directions from Aerial Anarchy staff.
-
Staff may refuse entry if rules are broken (leadership will always support their decision).
-
Daytime classes only: park on the street. Please cover booty shorts with regular shorts or a skirt when outside.
-
Bags go in the cube shelves, not on the floor.
-
Return equipment to its home after use.
-
Dispose of rubbish in the bins provided.
-
Only Aerial Anarchy instructors may teach – coaching others without permission can result in a ban.
Respect Yourself
-
Warm up before every session.
-
Stay within your limits – don’t attempt tricks beyond your ability.
-
Only practice moves taught at Aerial Anarchy unless cleared by an instructor.
-
Never train under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that affects focus or balance.
-
Use crash mats when required.
-
Always wear safe, appropriate clothing.
-
Rings off before class (they damage poles and jewellery).
-
Nipples and genitals must be covered.
Respect the Poles
-
Bring your towel every session – no towel, no training.
-
Wipe your pole before and after class. Remove all grip, chalk, or residue.
-
Avoid moisturisers, oils, fake tan, or products that make poles slippery.
-
Be aware of others nearby to avoid collisions.
Stage / Studio Etiquette
-
Treat the studio stage as a shared performance space – keep it tidy and respect others’ time on it.
-
Do not step onto the stage while someone else is performing, practicing, or filming.
-
Cheer for others when they’re on stage – no side chatter, distractions, or blocking their space.
-
Shoes, heels, or props must be used safely and as instructed.
-
Be mindful of volume when music is playing for a routine – let the performer own the moment.
-
If you need the stage for practice, check the booking schedule or with staff first.
-
Always leave the stage clean, free of grips, chalk, or personal items.
Spotting & Safety
-
Use a spotter for tricks you haven’t mastered consistently and safely.
-
If unsure, ask an instructor or practice supervisor before attempting a move.
-
Even if confident, check with staff before going unspotted for the first time.
-
Always reassess – fatigue, pole grip, or conditions may affect safety.
-
A spotter must know the trick and be capable of assisting. Advanced students shouldn’t rely on beginners unless confident they can help.
Incidents & First Aid
-
Report all incidents to staff, even if minor.
-
First Aid–qualified staff will assist and may require an incident report.
-
Let staff know if you use supplies from the First Aid kit so we can restock.
Respect the Community
Our Students
-
Every student brings something unique – we celebrate differences, not comparisons.
-
Support one another: cheer for wins, lift each other up on tough days.
-
Bullying, intimidation, or negativity will not be tolerated.
Our Team
-
Pay attention when instructors are demonstrating – sometimes they’re upside down just for you!
-
Trust their corrections – they’re here to keep you safe.
-
Each instructor teaches differently – diversity makes your experience richer.
-
Instructors can guide pole, dance, strength, and flexibility, but they are not medical professionals. They cannot diagnose or treat injuries, though they may refer you to external resources.
Phones
-
Recording progress and taking photos is encouraged.
-
Phones should not be used during teaching time, except for recording/filming with permission.
5. Media & Content
-
Aerial Anarchy may take photos or videos in class for marketing purposes. If you do not wish to be featured, please notify us in writing.
-
You may take personal photos/videos of yourself, but respect others’ privacy – don’t film or photograph others without their consent.
6. Liability Waiver
By attending Aerial Anarchy, you acknowledge:
-
Pole and aerial activities involve inherent risks, including bruising, muscle strain, and other injuries.
-
You release Aerial Anarchy, its owners, staff, and instructors from liability for injuries, loss, or damage sustained while on the premises, except where caused by negligence.
-
You are responsible for your own health insurance and medical expenses.
7. Minors
-
Students under 18 require a parent/guardian’s consent form.
-
Some classes may be restricted to 18+ due to content, style, or safety requirements.
8. Events & Parties
-
Deposits are required to secure group bookings.
-
Deposits are non-refundable, and balances must be paid by the due date.
-
Participants must comply with all safety and conduct rules during events.

Please keep valuables with you. Aerial Anarchy is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.
